We are excited to welcome Erin as our school counsellor from 2022.
Erin is a qualified social worker who graduated with an Honours Degree from UCT. She has a passion for people and, after a busy stint in retail management, she followed her heart back to the social work field. She has previously worked in a hospice setting, an NPO counselling centre, and as a school social worker at Timour Hall Primary.
Erin has always been passionate about investing in the lives of children, and since becoming a parent herself she is even more aware of how valuable this support can be. She believes that children function holistically and that when they experience an imbalance or disturbance in one aspect of their lives, we will see impacts in other areas. Her role is to help support children by ensuring a safe space to unpack what is being experienced in their world and, with the support of caregivers and teachers, help to ensure the best outcome for each individual.
Erin is very excited to be joining LEA and looks forward to meeting all the students and having a positive impact in our community.
